New Things!!!

Hi guys,

I am super duper sorry I couldn't post last week, mainly because I went down to the South Island with my family and I was kinda busy, BUT I did have time to make some stuff before we left. Because the last 10 days were freestyle and we could do anything, I made a bedcover and two sweet pies. I know not much, but, BUSY.

The duvet fits the mattress that comes with the 'Children's Bedroom Set'

Heres a pic:

Willow Cottontail getting ready for bed with her new bedding

Here is the bed by itself. The fabric is soft and really nice.

Its so cute with little flowers and leaves!
Its really easy to make duvets. I just traced the duvet from the set onto two pieces of fabric. I then turned them good side to good side, good side being on the inside, and sewed around 3 of the edges. Then, I flipped it right side out and sewed the top edge closed.

Its the same technique with the pillow, except I just used a random pattern and stuffed it up with pillow fluff.

The pies are made in Heinekin bottle caps, so they aren't
that big, and are 3 cm wide.

Here we have Sorrel Cottontail taking the pie out of the oven.
The pies that I have are blueberry and strawberry/raspberry. They are made out of clay and a bottle cap. Hopefully, I will post a tutorial soon......

This next weeks theme is Easter.
Any suggestions???

Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed,  but it was my birthday recently and from my family, I received the Cottontail rabbits!!! I absolutely fell in love with them as soon as I saw them! The family includes father Aaron, mother Sorrel, daughter Willow and son Gromwell!

They are so cute!!!!
Look at the camera, Gromwell!!!!!

Good Bye!!!!

A cute thanksgiving story

Heres a little story for you guys for our theme that will be ending soon, Winter/Autumn...
Lucy :)

"Okay, first thing: Dressing" muttered Daisy Buttercup to herself as she tied on her apron to protect her dress.
She was making a homemade Thanksgiving dinner for her family- a big task.

She poured in the stock for the dressing and left it
to sit. ' Okay,' she thought. Now for the carrots.
She got out the knife and the carrots and put
them on the chopping board, and in that instant,
her husband, Hornbull Buttercup strolled into the room.

  "Hey honey" he said.
"Hello dear," Daisy replied, giving him a peck on the cheek, "Right now I am doing something very time consuming and I am quite busy, so if you want to help, well, GET GOING!!!"

" Okay then, I will do the carrots." The husband replied.

When she knew she didn't have to do the
carrots, she started to get to work on the biggest
of all. The Turkey. It took her and hour or so, and once she put it in the oven, which, by the way,
took about 10 minutes to actually get it in because it was so big, she turned around to check how the carrots were going. It took one look for her to repulse. They were crooked, bent, uneven,
basically everything a women couldn't dream for. "Honestly Hornbull" cried Daisy, "I thought you could do this kind of thing but maybe not! If you want to be useful, take the twins for a walk!" She continued, the turned to re-do the carrots.

Once she got through all that drama, hustling Hornbull out of the house, she went upstairs to make the kids beds. Obviously, they were in a state of despair. But once she saw the beds, she thought of all the stress she'd been through, and that a little nap wouldn't harm her. I mean, she was only going to sleep for half an hour. It couldn't be that bad.....

She woke up to the sound of Paddock yelling:
"Muuuuuuuuum!!! Whats that burning smell??
Muuuuuum?"

Daisy remembered the dinner; then jumped out of bed and the burning smell hit her nose. "The turkey! The turkey!" She cried.
She checked the oven, and, to her dismay, it was, officially, burnt. "What am I going to do???" she asked herself. " What am I going to do?"

Just then, the door creaked open and Hornbull and the twins arrived.
"Hornbull! " Daisy sobbed into his dungarees, " What should I do? I've gone and burnt the dinner and I'm a complete and utter failure!!" She despaired.
" Don't worry honey, I've got it all sorted out." Her husband reassured.

About half an hour later they heard the doorbell do its usual 'Ding ding'
"I wonder who that could be" Paddock wondered aloud.

But guess who it was? Bertie Honeybear, Owner
of the Pizza shop, swooping in to save the day,
or, in this case, the dinner.
"One margarita pizza to go" He called.
"Oh my gosh" Daisy stuttered, " Hornbull your amazing!!!"

And listen to what Daisy said once they finished the meal:
" To be perfectly honest, I think I like this better than Turkey!!"

Food, P.Js and more pumpkins!

Hey guys,

Here are some more of my creations!

First we have the Thanksgiving food:

So, first, we have the turkey...
Then the salad.
And the yummy pumpkin pie!!!
The potatoes
I made the potatoes and the turkey out of salt dough, which you can use as a substitute to clay, which I used to make the salad and pie. Salt dough is such an easy recipe, you need one tablespoon of salt, two tablespoons of flour, and one tablespoon of water. Mix until it feels like play-doh, then you can form it into whatever you would like. Then, to cook, bake for 45 minutes at about 135 Celsius. Then you can paint it to whatever colour you would like.

Now for the P.Js:

They are made of a soft purple fabric that has cute white butterflies. The pyjama structure is kinda like a onesie, but with straps. Pants with straps.

Then we have the pumpkin hat, which, as expected, goes with the pumpkin dress, which
I posted about in an earlier post.

 On with the dress
Here it is:

It is cardboard covered with felt, then
I glued a little fuzzy ball on top for the
pumpkin!

Hope you liked it! Lucy

Pumpkins and Puffas!

Hey guys,

So here are some of my projects, and, please bear with me, more projects will be released tomorrow...

The first thing I have is the Pumpkin Dress, which fits an adult sylvanian, and it is made out of felt. Here it is:
The Dress...

A close up of the pumpkin, and, yes, it was hand stitched by me.

Then we have the Puffa Jacket:

Looking very snazzy in the Puffa

On the inside its lined with a soft fray fabric and in-between each
bump in the jacket, I sewed in some pillow fluff to make it soft
And sorry for these random gaps, I just could NOT figure out how to take these out so, yeah.
The back of the jacket.
So, see you tomorrow with more crafts, and I will probably post a tutorial on one of these.
Bye!

Starting off

Okay.
So my friend and I decided that we should have a competition and make clothes for our figures. She is making them for AG- American Girl- and am making them for Sylvanian Families.
We chose themes, and will sew for 10 days for that theme, then we will post up what we made, with tutorials, and see whose designs are better. It would be really cool if you could check out her blog at: www.charliscraftroom.blogspot.co.nz.  If you want, you can comment down in the comments section and tell us who you think has done better.

This weeks first theme is....... Winter/Autumn!

So.... see you soon in 10 days!

Lucy :)
