I won't be here!

Hey guys,

So uh, sorry if there is no nothing this week- no posts, no tutorials, no crafts a day,

BUT!

I am on holiday where we have no wifi so yeah. I can't really go on the internet.

But I promise as soon as I get back I will catch up with all the stuff I missed.

Promise.

Have a good week!
And if you think of anything you want me to make, you know what to do!

A doll craft a day keeps the boredom away!?

Hey guys,

Sorry this isn't like, a proper post with photos or something, but I have an idea...

As the holidays have just started, as of Saturday, the 5th of July, I had an idea to make a Sylvanian craft each day..... But, as I am going away in the second week, I may not be able to craft, but I will try.

So, what do you think?

Any ideas?

Or crafts you'd like me to make?

Comment below and I will start posting tomorrow!

Hope you had a good start to the holidays,

Lucy :)

The first sport of the season

Hey guys,

Sooooooo, we have the first sports clothing!!

Behold, the netball bib/dress/thingymajiggy......

 BOMBOMBOMMMMMMMMM

*Enter suspicious noises*

So its made out of red fabric and I drew/wrote the letter on with a silver vivid.

(And yes, that is a actual game of netball going on behind the bunny.)

Here is a closer look at the bib.
At second glance, I realised that the cutting is really sloppy, but that can be fixed when I make another one.

Oh yeah, and the position on the bunnys shirt is Centre.

In the end I decided that I needed to cut a hole for the tail, because it looks super awkward when theres this massive bump underneath the fabric.

The side of the bib is held together by elastic cord, so it looks at least a little bit realistic.

These are super easy to make, all you need is to fold fabric in half, then draw around your figure, with the shoulders being the bit thats folded in half. All you need is a little bit of trial and error.

IM ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!! Well, for a sylvanian, yes.

So, I hope you liked my outfit.
Next on my list to make are.....
Golf stuff (As requested by Haruka)
Basketball
Rugby
And, seeing as the Fifa Cup is on right now, I will TRY to make something about soccer.... (Such a pity that New Zealand didn't get in....................)

So yeah. Any of you readers play a sport you'd like me to make clothes for? And favourite sports?
Tell me in the comments and I will try my best!!

Lucy :D

I'm sorry guys.... :( But also jobs.....

Hey guys,

I am super sorry about not posting! OMG!
So here is my great excuse.... I was at my school camp!
It was really fun and we went to Mototapu island (Its near Mount Rangitoto if you don't know, and if you don't know what that is search it up....) and it was quite cold, rainy and windy but super duper cool! Oh yeah! And also, much to my annoyance, I haven't had time to make clothes for jobs.......... So, I thought to my self, I have to do something. So I will tell you what jobs the villagers do!!!
Lets get started!

So first up we have Edward Mulberry, the towns
resident toy maker and overall handyman. His niece Martha has recently moved in with him, from the lack of employment from her town...

This is Ed's desk, where he designs sketches for toys then turns them into reality. He has all the tools he needs to work happily for the whole of the day, having to be roused from his desk to eat and sleep....

Next in line we have Mr. Thomas Nightingale, the towns paramedic. He saves lives and rescues people from trees *COUGH* Owen Bearbury *COUGH* ( Sorry I just had a tickle in my throat)

If there is ever an emergency, you can call Thomas on 111 and he'll be at your doorstep straight away...

And yes, I am really obsessed with the Sylvanian  hospital stuff. But the hospital is so expensive, I'm trying to make it myself... So that stretcher is hand made. ( Just say if you'd like a tutorial.. )
Crazy Owen Bearbury.....

And last but not least, we have Yvette Blackberry, the lady who runs the juice stall.

She sells fresh fruit, jam and delicious fruit juices!!!

Would you like to try some??
Only $1 a cup!!!

WOAH!!!

Well, hello there to you too, uh, um, Superman..

You see, I found this outfit I made ages ago out of felt. It includes a belt/pants, a symbol and a cape.

Heres a side on view.

So, I hope you enjoyed my tour through the people!
So if you want a tutorial on anything your heart desires, I will do my best!!

Pizza post

Hey guys,

Wow, sorry this is soooo late!!!! I think this theme should have ended, like, sometime last week. Awkward......  I think I am just the queen of procrastination so thats why. But oh well. The next theme, which is jobs, I believe, can just start today.

Anyways, this is what has taken SO long.

Its a stop motion, a movie out of photos, about the day in the life of a pizza guy! (Whose name is Bertie)  It took me soooo long, I am not joking it took a few days, even though its only 1 minute something. But it did take 1022 photos. So. Here it is.....

At the end it says ' Closed'....... Just if you couldn't catch that. So its basically the life of a pizza guy!! I think this will be Berties new job. He suits it, don't you think? Also, please don't give me grief on the way to put on that pizza shirt. I've seen people put the logo on the back, but I like the way it looks on the front, so yeah.......
The software I used for this is something called Zeitraffer, where you put in your photos and it loads them together. Just if you wanted to know.

I also made a pizza outfit, but right now I can't find the photos ANYWHERE so I will post them soon. Once I find them.

Okay, this is goodbye for now.....
Oh and also, if you have a job outfit you want me to make for SFs, please say in the comments :)

Cute things!!

Hey guys,

So this theme is food. And I am really excited because I love food so much.

Anyway, I found this website that has cute little food printables and they are just soooooo cute!!!
You can visit the website by clicking HERE.
The website is in Japanese, but all you really need to do is click either JPEG or PDF by the one you would like, and it will take you to a new window, and I just copied that into word and printed it out and it worked just fine for me.

I believe you are supposed to print the printables on photo base paper, which I think is a little shiny and also sturdier than regular paper. But, you see, as much as I would like to, I can't read Japanese, so I just made my own version, and, like I said, it worked just fine.

Now I want you to look at this.

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO so so so adorable!!!!!!
Don't you think its just so gosh darn cute?? Look at that little bear!
Its so cute!!!!!! Cuteness overload!!
The other side, that says ' Made in Japan'
with a barcode and some donuts.
The side. It says 'Butter taste!'

I personally can not get over the cuteness of this.
Just look at the detail!!

The back with the little bear
The top of the box

I also love the checkers on the lid, and the bear mascot.

I also made this macaron box which is super-duper cute as well. The box is blue with a french flag and two macarons on the front.

And, people, just if you don't know:

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MACAROON AND A MACARON.

I know it says macaroon on the front of the box, but that is a mis- spelling and they are macarons.

A macaroon is a biscuit, normally covered in coconut. A macaron is coconuty french biscuit, which is colourful and has flavouring inside.
Just for the record.

And look at the detailing on the side of the box!
It says
' Raw material
Almond powder
Albumen sugar'
Its soooo cute!

Because I love potatoes, this set had to be done.
From the picture, these are little chips in different flavours.
There's BBQ, garlic and salt.

And look! Its a miniature snack, a handmade snack for your teatime!

I think I'm going to have to open a rainy blues supermarket in sylvania! (Rainy blues is the company that is on all of the snacks)

I love how the top says bring a smile to someones face! All the packagings are so detailed! Overall, I think this website is a really good find.

If you don't speak english, or it isn't you first language, comment down below how you say 'cute' in your language. I'd love to know!

Standard uniform..

Hey guys!

I made what I thought would be an outfit from someone going to war. So, I made a little waistcoat type thing:

I traced the pattern of the coat from the coat the actual guy came with.....

At first I tried to sew it with a machine, but it was just to small! So I reverted to hand stitching instead....!!

This is the little army cap thingy I made......
It can substitute for a war beret, or a hard helmet.
I like how the orange goes with the beigey colour, I think it goes quite well.
The outfit together. I paired it with his corduroy trousers and his beige shirt.
These were the clothes he came in.

                                                         Special effects!!!!!

More war inspired things will be coming soon....

New theme + cooking!

Hey guys,

So the Easter theme is now officially over, even though Easter is on Sunday, now our new theme is.....

WW1!

We have this theme because of the ANZACS, who fought at Gallipoli in 1916.  ANZAC stands for Australia New Zealand Army Corps. Our ANZAC day is coming up on the 25th of April, the day the soldiers landed in Gallipoli.

ANYWAY, enough history for now......

Oh, now we have some yummy cooking from Grandma Tailbury!

This is a real recipe, which comes from a really nice cookbook, and, of personal experience, these taste REALLY good..... Right now I'm craving one. Yummmmm.
These cookies were made in the war, Mrs Tailbury tells me. The wives sent them to the soldiers.
Well, that explains it.

Here we go!

ANZAC BISCUITS:

You will need:

1 cup of flour
1 cup of thread coconut
2/3 cup of tightly packed brown sugar
1 cup jumbo rolled oats
125g unsalted butter
2 TBSP golden syrup
1/2 TSP baking soda
2 TBSP boiling water

1. Preheat ove to 160 degrees Celsius. Line two baking trays with parchment paper.

2. Place flour, coconut, sugar and oats into a mixing bowl and stir to combine. I'm sorry for the random quality failure in this pic.....
3. Melt butter and golden syrup in a saucepan over a medium heat. While this is melting, place baking soda in a bowl, add boiling water, and stir. As it fluffs up, stir into butter mixture.

4. Quickly pour butter mixture over the dry ingredients while still fluffy. Stir to combine.

My apologies for Mrs Tailburys lack of oven gloves.
Please wear the mitts or gloves, because I don't want anyone to burn themselves.
5. Using a TBSP, roll spoonfuls of mixture into balls and place 3CM apart on prepared trays, flattening them slightly. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden.

Now she has the oven gloves!!!
Its so cute!!!

Now, you can enjoy your cookies with your grandchildren!!!

Yummy!!

I hope you've enjoyed this recipe as much as I had taking these cute photos.

Happy Anzac day,

Lucy :)

Hmmm, Easter?

Hey guys,

Soooo, this weeks or ten days theme was EASTER as its coming up quite quickly, so, I would like to show you some of my things.......

Now, I'm not really sure what happened in-between making this. Lets just call it, hmmmm, I don't know, how about an EPIC FAIL!

This is what my masterpiece looks like. Its kinda like a onsie/dressing gown/ jumper,
with a hood and demented bunny ears.

Don't worry people, I know that its hideous. It looks like a bunny on steroids. The jumper itself was made from a soft white fabric, and the hood, well, thats another story. I would try to explain, but I would be typing for a while... Anyway, I sewed that on to the jacket, which actually is massive on my figure, then I hot-glued on some bunny ears, which is just some of the white fabric with some pink felt glued on.

Oh, and be careful, when I was sewing this, I lost track of one of my needles, and I ended up walking upon it. It hurts, and I don't want this to happen to anyone. So please please please, be very careful with those needles!

And heres one more thing that I made.... ( Which I personally think is way better than that, um, thing)

I made an easter basket from clay, which I think is really cute and quite detailed, on the sides and handle. I used two different shades of brown for this, and think it turned out really nicely.
(Apart from the fact that the handle came off once I baked it so I just glued that back on..)
Here is the basket in close up........

I also filled the inside with cute little eggs.

Oi! Now where do you think your going with those eggs????!!!!!

New Things!!!

Hi guys,

I am super duper sorry I couldn't post last week, mainly because I went down to the South Island with my family and I was kinda busy, BUT I did have time to make some stuff before we left. Because the last 10 days were freestyle and we could do anything, I made a bedcover and two sweet pies. I know not much, but, BUSY.

The duvet fits the mattress that comes with the 'Children's Bedroom Set'

Heres a pic:

Willow Cottontail getting ready for bed with her new bedding

Here is the bed by itself. The fabric is soft and really nice.

Its so cute with little flowers and leaves!
Its really easy to make duvets. I just traced the duvet from the set onto two pieces of fabric. I then turned them good side to good side, good side being on the inside, and sewed around 3 of the edges. Then, I flipped it right side out and sewed the top edge closed.

Its the same technique with the pillow, except I just used a random pattern and stuffed it up with pillow fluff.

The pies are made in Heinekin bottle caps, so they aren't
that big, and are 3 cm wide.

Here we have Sorrel Cottontail taking the pie out of the oven.
The pies that I have are blueberry and strawberry/raspberry. They are made out of clay and a bottle cap. Hopefully, I will post a tutorial soon......

This next weeks theme is Easter.
Any suggestions???

Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed,  but it was my birthday recently and from my family, I received the Cottontail rabbits!!! I absolutely fell in love with them as soon as I saw them! The family includes father Aaron, mother Sorrel, daughter Willow and son Gromwell!

They are so cute!!!!
Look at the camera, Gromwell!!!!!

Good Bye!!!!
